Students A, B, and C started coming to school asking classmates to call them by different names. Some classmates would not go along with it. This group had a vocal speaker, Student A. Student A would address and publicly shame other classmates by saying “you’re all beneath me, your peasants, your mids (like midland people)”. Student A would even call other classmates asshole, d-bag in front of teachers who did not address this behavior.
Board interviewed consultants for DPI settlement, at end of meeting a parent got up and asked if they were going to address other things going on in school. Board member got up and told the parent to be quiet. This was first time anything was publicly spoken about what was happening in school.
A student is accused of being racist for asking if fellow classmate was moving to another country. The accuser is Student B. After interviewing all students present in hallway of when incident occurred, student accused was found not guilty. No disciplinary action was taken for Student B for lying. (This is the second time this happened with same students involved, end result was the same).
Parent contacted Middle School Principal about Student B who was saying the following to their child and a friend on the bus: “your gay, dumb, you two are going to have baby that is so ugly.” Nothing was done.
Had meeting with District Administrator who informed parent to let them know whenever there was an incident.
Parent had a phone call with MS Principal to talk about bus incidents and Student A continuing to
yell and swear at classmate. No action was taken.
Parent contacted MS Principal about Student B explicitly talking to elementary school kids about having sex with animals on the bus. Parent was told to call the bus company. Bus company pulls Student B to front seat for day or two.
Parent again talked about the continued profanity with classmates.
Parent met with middle school guidance counselor as child was so depressed, crying before school. Asked for help boost spirits.
